ZOMBO. Ayuveni Chiefdom known by its name Kaal Ayuveni on Tuesday celebrated the 1st coronation anniversary of its chief Rwoth Uledhire II with a call to the subjects to support their cultural institution in order to sustain their cultural heritage.
The 1st coronation anniversary presided over by His Royal Highness Ubimu Philip Olarker Rauni III of the Alur Kingdom at Juloka primary school playground was held under the theme; promoting girl child education to overcome early child marriage and pregnancy.
Olarker told reporters at the sidelines of the celebrations that the theme is relevant in the wake of escalating abuse against the girl child and called upon Kaal Ayuveni to continue with the good work it has started to empower the girl child.
“The issue of teenage pregnancy hurts me a lot and this must stop because Alur Kingdom has zero tolerance to early childhood marriage”, he stressed.
He implored his subjects to embrace agriculture saying it is one of the viable economic activities that is crucial in poverty alleviation.“I especially want the youth to hear me well, agriculture is what will take away poverty from your home; not bodaboda business and for this matter I want you to take agriculture seriously”, he said.

“You know there is no force in this matter and those who want to collaborate with us are welcome otherwise there is no coercion like the three who may want their own set up”, he said.
Meanwhile, the Premier Kaal Ayuveni Urwoth Sanctus Pitic Openja said Kaal Ayuveni has a brighter future and is committed to improving all the sectors of its economy as earmarked in its development plan.
